The MPO (Multi-Fiber Push-On) adapter is a passive fiber optic component used to connect two MPO connectors together. It serves as a mechanical interface, aligning and securing the mating MPO connectors to facilitate optical signal transmission between them.

MPO adapters are designed to accommodate multiple optical fibers within a single connector, allowing for high-density fiber optic connections.

The MPO adapter has two types, key-up to key-down, and key-up to key-up. They both provide the connection from cable to cable or cable to equipment. They works for any MPO connector from 4 fibers to 72 fibers. MPO adapters are commonly used in various fiber optic applications, including data centers, telecommunications networks, and high-speed computing environments.
