Richard Durrant - Executive Director/Founder
Richard Durrant has more than 36 years’ experience in the Fiber Optics market and has more than 20 patent assignments. Richard has been the co-founder of 3 successful start-up companies, 2 of which were sold to large US public corporations.
His career began in Engineering, moving to Sales and Marketing, to General Management and during periods of public company ownership, Executive Director roles at Stratos Lightwave Corporation, Emerson Corporation and Tyco Electronics.
Igor Stouklov - Executive Director/Founder
Dr. Igor Stouklov has a number of advanced degrees in Physics, Optics and Engineering from some of the world’s best technical schools and over 30 years of experience in Optics, Lasers and Fiber Optics. He has co-founded 4 successful start-ups, including AFP Ltd, and has worked for several large public companies, with experience that has included engineering, technical, marketing/sales and general management of large cross-functional teams. He has numerous patents to his name in optics and fiber optics.
Jo McBrien - General Manager
Jo McBrien has over 18 years’ experience in the Fiber Optics industry having first joined Stratos Lightwave in 2003. This followed into a position at Advanced Fiber Products in Sales and Business Development focusing predominantly on fiber connectivity solutions for the Military, Broadcast and Datacom markets. Most recently, in 2016, Jo joined Optical Fiber Packaging Ltd as Commercial and Operations Manager for OFP.
Ian Radford - Director/Co-Founder
Ian Radford is an economics graduate and Chartered Accountant with many years’ experience advising companies in the electronics and biotech industries. He has been a key financial advisor to all of the team’s startups as Company Secretary. Ian also was a founding shareholder in Mikon Ltd. He has lengthy and continuing experience advising multi-national technology companies on their UK operations.
