Engineering Manager

Due to continued growth, OFP are looking to expand our senior Engineering Management team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing his or her team for the delivery of multi-disciplined engineering projects to target in a fast-paced mid-size company. The role will involve product development, project management, staff management, and hands-on engineering. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills are important.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and support a broad team - design, development, test, and process engineers and technicians

  • Implement, monitor, and develop OFP’s technology roadmap - providing fiber optic solutions for multiple end markets

  • Communicate the development team goals and performance to senior management

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all project timelines and budgets are met

  • Be a proactive member of the engineering team performing hands-on development activities

  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and sales for new product delivery

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering

  • 3+ years' of management experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, easygoing

  • Fiber Optics experience is the must

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Communicate the development team goals and performance to senior management

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all project timelines and budgets are met

  • Be a member of the engineering team performing hands-on development activities

  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and sales for new product delivery
